Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and help bring our next essential tool for image-based Machine Learning to the cloud. This role involves designing and optimizing cloud architecture, ensuring the right trade-offs between cost and performance, and working with both public and private cloud infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure for the Jetraw platform.
Optimize cloud architecture for performance and cost.
Manage and integrate AWS and Azure services, ensuring smooth operation across different environments.
Develop and maintain continuous deployment pipelines.
Develop and maintaining methods for health and performance monitoring and testing, as well as failure reporting and recovery.
Work with various database systems to support data storage and processing needs.
Implement and manage hybrid systems, combining on-cloud and on-premise solutions.
Ensure robust privacy and security measures are in place for cloud operations.
Collaborate with the team to deliver a user-friendly product that delights our customers.

What we expect

Solid technical understanding of cloud architecture and infrastructure.
Experience with serverless technologies and cloud cost-performance optimization.
Proficiency in AWS and Azure, including serverless technologies.
Experience with continuous deployment, health monitoring and stress testing.
Experience with different database systems and paradigms, in particular columnar databases, such as Amazon Redshift.
Knowledge of hybrid cloud systems and privacy/security best practices.
Proficiency with quality assurance practices.
Strong focus on delivering a user-friendly product.
Fluent in English.
Must have a valid Swiss B or C work permit or Swiss/EU passport.

Location & Work Arrangement

We are based in Zug, Switzerland. While we prefer candidates who can work from the office several days a week, we also welcome remote work within Switzerland for experienced candidates.
